Professional Development Survey
WE WANT TO HEAR FROM YOU!
The Professional Development Committee, at the behest of the IADMS Board, has been working on developing a system to recognize professional qualifications and skills over the last two years. Our primary goals are to help members achieve and maintain a level of excellence in dance medicine and science and develop a benchmarking mechanism to recognize IADMS members who achieve this. A benchmarking program would include profession-specific competencies for members to demonstrate, which would be evaluated through continuing education courses, research publications, volunteer experiences, professional references, and a written essay. Applicants would submit materials for review by a committee of leaders in your field. There would be a fee to cover administrative costs for the program.
As the final part of the process, we invite you to participate in a brief, anonymous survey regarding your perceptions of the benefits of such a recognition. The survey will close on September 30.
